Useful information for your stay

Check-In:
Your room will be available from 2:00 PM.
Please understand that we cannot guarantee room availability before that time.

Late Arrival:
If you arrive later than 7:00 PM, please inform us in advance so we can explain the self-check-in procedure.

We understand that travel plans can sometimes change at short notice. The following conditions apply to cancellations, no-shows and early departures:

Cancellation by the Guest:
A cancellation must be expressly communicated to the Matreier Tauernhaus. Failure to pay an agreed deposit does not constitute a cancellation of the booking.

The following cancellation fees apply:

• Up to and including 14 days before the agreed arrival date: free cancellation
• Exception: from 25 December to 10 January: free cancellation up to and including 30 days before the agreed arrival date
• 13 to and including 7 days before the agreed arrival date: 50% of the agreed booking price
• 6 to and including 3 days before the agreed arrival date: 70% of the agreed booking price
• 2 days before the agreed arrival date up to and including the arrival date: 90% of the agreed booking price

No-Show
In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, 90% of the agreed booking price will be charged as a cancellation fee.
A no-show is deemed to have occurred if the guest does not arrive on the agreed arrival date and the booking has not been expressly cancelled in advance.

Late Arrival
In the event of a late arrival, there is no entitlement to a corresponding reduction of the agreed booking price. Nights or booked services not used due to a late arrival will be subject to the cancellation conditions stated above.

Early Departure
In the event of an early departure, 90% of the agreed booking price for the unused nights or services will be charged as a cancellation fee.
An early departure therefore does not entitle the guest to a free reduction of the originally agreed length of stay.

Weather and Weather Conditions
Our rooms and services are booked and reserved regardless of the respective weather forecast or expected weather conditions.
Normal, seasonal or foreseeable weather and weather conditions therefore do not constitute grounds for free cancellation or shortening of the stay.
This applies in particular if planned hikes, excursions or other leisure activities are not possible or are only possible to a limited extent due to weather conditions. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot make the availability of our rooms dependent on the respective weather conditions. This also applies to adverse winter weather conditions, such as snowfall, icy roads or increased avalanche risk.
Should exceptional circumstances or official measures make arrival or accommodation genuinely impossible, the applicable statutory provisions shall apply.

Right of Withdrawal by the Matreier Tauernhaus
The Matreier Tauernhaus reserves the right to withdraw from a confirmed booking up to three months before the agreed arrival date for objectively justified reasons.
Such withdrawal may occur in particular if exceptional or objective circumstances arise that make it impossible to fulfil the booking.
In the event of withdrawal by the Matreier Tauernhaus, any payments already made for the respective booking will be refunded in full. Any further claims shall be governed by the applicable statutory provisions.

Deposit
An agreed deposit must be paid within the period specified in the booking confirmation. The deposit constitutes a payment towards the agreed booking price and is not a prerequisite for the booking to come into existence or become binding, provided that the booking has already been confirmed by us in writing.
Failure to pay the deposit therefore does not automatically constitute a cancellation of the booking. A cancellation must be expressly communicated to the Matreier Tauernhaus.

Travel and Hotel Cancellation Insurance
We recommend taking out suitable travel or hotel cancellation insurance, such as the Hotelstorno Plus offered by Europäische Reiseversicherung, in order to protect yourself against costs arising from a necessary cancellation, no-show or early departure.

Important Notice
By confirming the booking, our cancellation and booking terms are acknowledged. The terms applicable at the time of booking form an integral part of the booking agreement.
